Studying the original drawings allowed us to distinguish historic features from later modifications, informing design choices that honor the building and improve daily functionality.

The intervention occurred in two stages: first, connecting the living room and bedroom to improve daylight and flow; second, reorganizing the kitchen and bathroom and adding a central gathering space to maximize circulation and spatial efficiency.

Designed with a Haussmannian sensibility, the interior respects the building’s character through a restrained black-and-white palette. Black marble and detailed ceramic floors shape the atmosphere while providing lasting durability.

The reconfiguration added one square meter, and after two years in use, the apartment performed strongly on the rental market
