Graia

Graia

The project creates shared spaces for multi-generational families, many of whom are buying their first home and becoming part of a growing community. The design encourages neighbors to connect and participate in community life, while still providing quieter, more intimate moments when families need them.

Communal spaces designed for families to connect, grow, and thrive together.

Shared communal area in the Graia residential development in Chía, Colombia, designed to help multi-generational families connect and build community

The design keeps things simple -just a few key elements- and uses color to add warmth. Materials are chosen to soften sound and help define different zones without hard barriers. Curtains, rugs, and a thoughtful color palette give each area its own personality, creating flexible spaces where families can gather comfortably or find their own corner when they need it.
